Better mexican that joe t garcias?

Cant edit the title but specifically tex mex. Have some friends from out of town who love joe t garcias, recommend me somewhere else to take them for tex mex that has good ambiance (I think that's why they like it).

The ambiance at Joe ts will be hard to beat, but there are much better food options.
If you want to keep it in the Joe Ts family, Esperanzas is better food.
Mercado Juarez has decent ambiance a really good food.
If you want go a little higher end, Paloma Suerte in the stockyards is pretty good, decent ambiance by the river

Garcia's Kitchen, what am I missing?

So I've been working in Albuquerque for the last year or so, and from the start I was curious about Garcias. I've gotten several recommendations for them, and it looks like my kind of place. Finally went there for lunch today and boy. I was completely underwhelmed. I got the 3 taco combo plate (one ground beef, one brisket and one chicken) with the refried beans and the papa's. Ground beef taco and brisket were just ok. Chicken was good but not great. Same with the beans, good but not great. And the papa's, while clearly made fresh, were totally undercooked and almost completely unseasoned. All this would be maybe still ok, but the plate cost over $20. That's insane for mediocre food served on a styrofoam plate with bagged plastic utensils.
Having said all that, I'm still wanting to like this place. Did I just get the wrong order? Am I at the wrong location (San Mateo)? Can anyone give me suggestions for next time, or should i just learn my lesson?

Like every other New Mexican staple (Blake’s, golden pride, el pinto, range cafe etc) Garcias used to be sooooo much better than what it is now.

To make sure I understand this post appropriately. He owns a hot dog stand and based on coding can’t have certain toppings, add ons, and other food items for sale? He needs a food truck so he can continue to provide some of these things based on coding?

I have lived down the street from this restaurant for a long time. I love walking down the street for a meal and drinks. I was just there a few weeks ago. I’m going to need a New Mexican food restaurant.

It is labeled as sativa but to me it feels more like a hybrid indica according to the reviews, it's a shake and bake not to me. I tried this to sleep and actually sleep like a baby. I don't know if it's my system but it doesn't feel like a sativa to me. It gives you a really good head body buzzy behind the eyes. Pretty relaxing. I'm not going to lie. You can still move around though I am not an expert, but this tastes smells and feels like if it was across with golden pineapple and Tropicana cookies. Actually it smells a lot like Tropicana cookies. Hope that helps. Don't crucify me in the comments. 🤣🤣🤣🤣(I'm taking a look at LA Baker's from Garcia's. I'm going to try it. It is stated as an indica. I'm going to try it to see if it gives me this sativa effect, you imagine)

The LA Baker is the best indica in the program to me, if you thought you slept well with the gold dropz you’re in for a surprise 😭 I only smoke the baker on weekends cause that shit has me waking up the next day still feeling like I just hit the bong and I can’t have that for work 😭🤣
